FAQ
How do I figure out my size?
Our jeans are measured by Waist (W), Leg (L), and Hips (H). Once you’ve taken your measurements, choose the size that aligns best. For a baggy, low-rise fit, size up. For a more fitted look, stick to your exact measurements.
Are the jeans new?
Nope! We specialize in vintage denim. Every pair is handpicked, making it unique. Vintage jeans may have signs of wear like stains, marks, or rips, but these imperfections add character without affecting wearability.
I saw a pair of jeans on someone else, but they're sold out. What now?
Since all of our jeans are vintage, every pair is one-of-a-kind. While we can’t restock exact styles, we frequently add similar pieces to our collection. If you're having trouble finding what you’re after, reach out, and our team will help you track down something special.
What if I can’t find my size or the pair I want is sold out?
If your size isn’t available or your desired pair is out of stock, drop us an email at contact@thedenimbox.com or send us a DM with your measurements. We’ll do our best to find a match for you.
I want a boyfriend/baggy fit. What size should I choose?
For a looser fit, we recommend sizing up about 2 inches from your waist measurement. Measure where you want the jeans to sit (like your hips or mid-rise), and choose the corresponding waist size. For example, if our model has a 31" waist, she might wear a W33/W34 for that perfect baggy fit.
I prefer a tight fit. What size should I go for?
For a snug, fitted look, go with your exact waist and hip measurements. If you’re between sizes, we suggest sizing up a little to leave room for movement.
How do I know what size to buy?
Measure your body—waist, hips, and leg length—for the best fit. If you’re unsure how to measure, check out our size guide.
What if my thighs and bum are curvier compared to my waist?
Vintage denim often has little to no stretch, so if you’re curvier, consider sizing up in the waist to ensure a comfortable fit over your thighs and bum. If you need more specific measurements like thigh circumference, feel free to contact us for advice before purchasing.
I’ve measured my waist and legs but still don’t know which size to buy.
No problem! Email us or DM us on Instagram, and our team will help you find the perfect fit.
Can I get the jeans altered to my size?
Yes! We offer denim tailoring for an additional cost.
If you opt for a tailored fit, we will adjust the jeans to the closest size available to your measurements, ensuring a personalised, flattering fit that’s still true to your style. Just be sure to add your measurements in the checkout notes when choosing the tailored option, and we’ll take care of the rest.
How do you measure the jeans?
We lay the jeans flat and measure the waist (then double it), inseam (crotch to ankle), and hips (across the back pockets, doubled). All measurements are in inches.
How should I wash and care for vintage/customized denim?
Wash vintage denim sparingly. When needed, wash on a low temperature (30°C or below), spot clean where possible, and avoid using a dryer to prevent shrinkage.
Will I need to pay import tax or customs fees?
Items shipped from the UK may incur import taxes or customs duties. Please check your country's rates, as the buyer is responsible for these fees. Payment will be collected by the shipping carrier upon delivery.
